Leben und Wirken

Mednard, der in New York City aufwuchs, begann 13-jährig mit dem Schlagzeugspiel. Er machte seine ersten musikalischen Erfahrungen im Rahmen des All-City High School Music Programms der Stadt New York, an der Bayside High School Academy of Music und im Rahmen des Preparatory Studies in Music Programms des Queens College. Er schloss sein Studium am City College of New York mit einem Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jazz Performance ab.cite-ref-aaj-1-0[1]

Mednard arbeitete in den Bands von Aaron Parks, Lauren Henderson, Alex LoRe und trat weltweit in den Ensembles von Jeremy Pelt (Griot: This Is Important!), Ben Allison, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Marta Sánchez (SAAM (Spanish American Art Museum)) und anderen auf.cite-ref-aaj-1-1[1] Er gehörte früh zu den Musikern des Kollektivs Postmodern Jukebox und ist auf Alben von Caroline Davis, Julian Shore, Arthur Kell, Guillermo Klein, Noah Preminger, Arcoiris Sandoval, Perry Smith, SpecOps und Brandee Younger (zunächst auf der Single Unrest II)cite-ref-2[2] zu hören.

Mednard verantwortete die Erstellung des Soundtracks des Videospiels BioShock Infinite.
